EUroute NOTAM CenterEUroute NOTAM Center is a free service for VATSIM VACCs that enhances the quality of their NOTAMs (NOTice to AirMen) and enables rapid response to whatever happens in the world of real life aviation. In other words, if in real life a runway at nearby airport is closed, your VACC will know about it very quickly and will be able to close the same runway on VATSIM. Isn't that a big step in being more realistic? RSS feeds - instant information on your desktopYou can have NOTAMs for your favourite european destinations delivered to your computer's desktop live - within an hour of being published. You no longer need to check multiple websites before flying - when something happens, you will be the first one to know. EUroute NOTAM Center uses so called RSS feeds to inform pilots and controllers about new NOTAMs for their FIRs. See the following screenshot for an example of how RSS pop-ups look like:
You will need an application called RSS reader, which can keep you up to date on almost anything - not just NOTAMs. The following table shows countries that use EUroute NOTAM Center with links to their RSS feeds: If you don't have an RSS reader application yet, we recommend the free RssReader. If you don't like the RssReader, there are lots of other applications available that serve the same purpose - just see here for some good examples of other freeware RSS readers. Contact informationThe EUroute NOTAM Center has been designed and programmed by Micha³ Rok. The system is available free of charge to VATSIM-related organizations.
